Badger is my 8 year old Bernese Mountain Dog. He had ACL surgery on his right leg last year and now his left leg needs ACL surgery. My financial situation is grave at the moment and any assistance you could provide would be greatly, greatly appreciated. I would never be without an BMD. The cost of their healthcare is a small price to pay for the joy that they bring me everyday.

Update March 1st 2010 - Badger is doing well and thank you for asking. He did have another health setback about 3 months after his TPLO surgery. He wound up having emergency glaucoma and went blind in his left eye. The meds would have been $800 a month to control the glaucoma and so my vet and my breeder both said to remove the eye and he would be fine. It was a terrible decision to have to make but ultimately that's what I did and they were right - he adjusted just fine. I know this sounds funny but ever since the surgery he doesn't want to have his picture taken so this is the best I could get. Thanks again for your help with his leg surgery, your organization is a godsend! PS - we just went on a 3 mile hike today - thanks you to guys he can do things like this again : )
